2007-2008 Incumbent Workforce Development

The Southwestern Workforce Development Board is currently accepting applications.

The North Carolina Commission on Workforce Development in partnership with the SouthwesternWorkforce Development Board continues to offer local employers the Incumbent Workforce Development Program. The program provides North Carolina employers the opportunity to apply for grants to provide employee training programs. The Incumbent Workforce Development Program is designed to upgrade employees' skills and increase companies' competitiveness in the global marketplace.

The North Carolina Commission on Workforce Development, the Division of Employment and Training, and the state's 24 Local Workforce Boards, established under the Workforce Investment Act, cooperatively administer the Incumbent Workforce Development Program.
